Mercedes W211 Add a Key via Xtool X100 PAD3 + KC501

Hi, I am on a Mercedes Benz W211 now, this is XTOOL X100 PAD3 and XTOOL KC501 Car Key Programmer. Today I wanna use these tools to program a new key for Mercedes W211.

I have already connected the X100 PAD3 scanner with OBD, so let’s start now:

Diagnosis >> BENZ >> Agree >> Infrared key system >> Password calculation >> Data collection

With programmed key >> Follow the prompts, then press “OK”>> OK >> Read via  OBD >> W211

Follow the prompts, then press “OK”>> Insert the original key into KC501 key slot, press “OK”>> Record the password, press “OK”

Return back to “Infrared key system”.

EIS functions >> Read EIS information >> Read via OBD >> Automatic identify >> OK >>

Press “F2” to generate key file

OK >> Input password, and other options, press “OK”

Key data is generated successfully, you can rename the files or press “OK” to continue.

Press “Yes” to write data into the new blank key.

Remove the original key from KC501 key slot, put the new key to be programmed instead.

Press “OK”.

Writing data...

Write successfully, press “OK” to complete.

Now let me check the new key, it can work well. Key programming has successfully done!

Xtool KC501 Read Write MCU / EEPROM Chip User Manual

One of Xtool KC501 functions is to Read Write MCU / EEPROM Chips. Here we go on how to operate. 

Let's go! 

First, Connect USB with PC 

Check the light

Red Light on standby mode

Green Light on Data Transmission 

1. Read/Write Atmel AT24C01A Chip 

Then, Open the chip lock socket lever and put it into the chip according to align with the pin. 

Open software in PC, “Successfully Connected” will be shown: 

2. Read/Write EEPROM - Atmel - AT24C01A Chip 

Write data into the chip 

3. Can Read/Write/Erase 7 kind of Freescale’s MCU

Connect chip In terms with the below diagram, have it connect with KC501.

Same type of chip may have a different pin number, e.g. 80PIN, 112PIN,144PIN…

4. Xtool KC501 supported ECU:

Warning: Please turn off the power when connecting the ECU, turn on 12V power after its connected. Read/Write MCU could be a reference when doing Read/Write the chip here.

Xtool Anyscan A30 OBDII code reader is the new product released by Xtool Company, it has the same function as the Autel MD802. And this post will show you how to download and activate the Anyscan A30 scanner.

Procedure:

2. Then activate the app before you use it to test vehicles.

3. Input activation code, product serial number (each device will have a serial number and activation code), user number, email address, cell phone number, and password, the system will then save it.

Note: Activation is a one time process. The Anyscan A30 application will start after activation.
